The Great British Spring Clean 2017

As part of Keep Britain Tidy’s national campaign ‘The Great British Spring Clean’, Dr James Davies MP recently organised two litter picks.
On Friday, a litter pick took place in conjunction with Denbighshire County Council, Coleg Llandrillo Rhyl Campus and members of the public at Brickfield Pond in Rhyl.
A further litter pick was then carried out at Coed y Morfa woodland in Prestatyn on Sunday with Denbighshire Coastal Policing Team, the Police Cadets and the Prestatyn and District Environment Association.
In total 32 bags were collected across the two sites.
Dr James Davies MP said: ‘Despite very damp weather, we had an excellent turnout at both events and I would like to thank everyone who took part. Both areas are well used by walkers and as the weather improves they will become busier still, so a good Spring clean wasjust what they needed!’
